A 90-Day Journey to Sharing My Story

 In Blog, Life Lessons

Once upon a time typed on an old typewriter“You have an incredible journey to share!”
“When are you going to write your book?”
“I can’t wait to hear when you’ve published your story!”

I have heard SO many people say things like this to me in the last several years!

On one hand, there is a part of me that feels compelled, pulled, to write my story and share it with others. I remember when I was first starting on my spiritual journal in my early-to-mid twenties, how voraciously I read. I was thirsty for knowledge and inspiration. My thought is that if even ONE of the experiences I have been through can help others in their times of doubt or questioning, or can give them some hope or inspiration, than it is more than “worth it.” Plus, even though it was not an activity that was in the forefront of my mind, I have always enjoyed writing to some degree. I have not always made time for it – and admittedly, until about a week ago, I hadn’t even picked up a journal in almost a year and a half! But it wasn’t because the desire or enjoyment wasn’t there.

On the other hand, there is another part of me that feels overwhelmed by the writing process – especially when it came to the thought of me writing my book. Putting myself “out there” on paper (or screen) for all to read, taking the time and energy and heart that it would take to share my story . . . it was exhausting just to THINK about it, never mind actually do it.

But then as I started journaling in this last week, remembering how much I enjoyed writing and how much I really want to share my story, I decided the best way to get started writing . . . was just to DO it. So in the next 90 days, my intention is to become entrained to the habit of writing – allowing it to become more second-natured, maybe something that I even look forward to! – and also, to become more accustomed to sharing my journey with people through this blog. I know, and feel with every fiber of my being, that as I write and share, putting down my story and publishing it will happen with so much more ease and grace!

Thank you for being a part of this 90-day journey with me – I look forward to sharing the road to my book with you.
(And if you would like to join me to get started in your own 90-day journey, contact me and we can support one another!!!)
